We will add a gender team event in Harker Hrght

MLP Style- 4 to 6 teams of 4 to 5 players in each team depending on how many sign ups we get.

Score tied 2-2 - dream breakers singles to 21!

Round robin style where first two teams play the final - winners takes it all!

Potential team captains for mlp style team tournament:

4-6 highest dupr rating players will be team captains

Draft will occur Friday Morning 8:00.

Since we don’t know exactly how many people will actually end up playing this event - there are few different scenarios - which may be subject to change if people drop out or a last minute addition. More exact details will be presented once registration closes.

A. Pick number 1 or 2 - winning team will determine if you are team A or Team B

If score is 2-2 and a dream breakers will be necessary- Team must reveal order of singles rotations at the same time.

Rally Scoring

• Determine which team will serve, receive, pick the end of the court, or defer using any fair method (e.g., pick a 1 or 2, coin flip, rock-paper-scissors, etc.).
• Each partner on a team determines which side of the pickleball court (the left side or the right side) to start on. Then, each partner remains on those respective sides throughout the entire game. (However, a team may switch sides of the pickleball court on a time out or end change.)
• The team that serves first will start the game. The player on the right-hand side of the court will serve first (serving crosscourt).
• If the serving team wins the rally, then they will win a point and continue to serve. However, the partner on the left-hand side of the court will serve (but, remember, the players will stay on their respective sides of the court). The serve alternates between the players on the left- and right-hand side of the court (without the players changing positions) until they lose a rally.
• If the serving team loses the rally, then the receiving team will win a point and the receiving team will win the serve. To note, there is no second server (so the score will only be two numbers—the serving team score and the receiving team score—and there will be no third number for the server number).
• Which player will serve on a team is determined by the score of the serving team. If the score is even, then the player on the right-hand side of the court will serve. If the score is odd, then the player on the left-hand side of the court will serve. So, for example, if the score is 0-0, and the receiving team wins the rally, then the receiving team will win a point and the right to serve. The score will now be 1-0, so the player on the left-side of the receiving team will serve next.
• Change ends of the pickleball court when a team reaches 11 points as the first team to 21 points wins (win by 2 points). However, points after the 20th point may only be scored on the serve. Further, if one team is at 20 points, the other team's points will "freeze" at 18 points, and such other team may only score points when serving.

Team format competing as a team against other teams.  Matches are composed of four games (men’s doubles ( team A line 1 vs team B line 1, Team A line 2 vs Team B line 2 - played at the same time)  followed by team A Line 1 vs Team two line 2, and Team A line 2 vs Team B line 1) , with a unique Dreambreaker™ singles tiebreaker if score is tied at 2-2.

DREAMBREAKER™

Is a unique singles tiebreaker with rally scoring to 21 win by 2. One team first discloses its 4-person singles rotation order, and then the opposing team with that knowledge counter-designates its singles rotation order. Each player then rotates in for 4 singles points, until the tiebreaker has a winner.

Team Captains are free to put team together in any order or combination

Team consists of 5 players - all 5 players must play at least one doubles in each round.

Dream breaker - 4 out of the 5 players must participate in the singles dream breaker ( team captain decides who these are) ( May want to consider this when doing the draft picks)

Team captains will draw numbers from 1-4 ( if 4 team) ( if 5 or 6 teams - numbers will be 1-5 or 1-6.

1 pick first, 2 second etc.

4-6 highest Dupr players ( doubles) will be assigned as Team Captains and will pick his team through drafting.

Team captains will pick a number between 1-4 (up to 6)to determine the order of picks.

Registration opens on 10/2/2024 on the Raqt app. 

If a player does not have the Raqt app – please follow steps below:

1. Go to the App store.
2. Search for Raqt Pickleball Family Friend
3. Download Raqt App (free)
4. Create a profile and follow instructions.
5. Ready to use.

A valid account on Raqt is required to register for the tournament. Registration closes on December 2nd 11pm.

Players may only play in one event per day.

Brackets will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

You may register for each event you wish to play. 

Follow the below instructions to register for an event:

• Open the tournament in Raqt, you can find the tournament by scrolling all the tournaments in the Discovery page.
• Select the Registration button.
• Check the divisions you want to register to.

Your name will be displayed and just select the checkbox on the left of your name.

Delivery of registration “tickets”

After completing the purchase, the “tickets” are available in your "Wallet" in your Raqt app.

Players check in at the tournament desk at least 30 minutes before the start of your match.

No refunds will be given after registration closes. No Exceptions!!

The tournament is played in an outdoor environment that is subject to potential weather conditions that can interrupt play. If a weather event occurs mid bracket, every attempt will be made to resume the bracket to completion and determine winners. The event has the right to shorten match play if weather causes scheduling delays.

If a bracket has not started and will not be able to be played due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of a player’s event fee will be returned. Registration fee will not be refunded.

Official competition ball is Durafast 40.

After the match, the used ball is returned to the referee or the tournament desk

Referees will be utilized for the team event.

First Aid kit will be available at the tournament site. If a life-threatening emergency occurs, please call 911. Athletic trainer or Dr will be on site.
