SINGLES OPEN EVENTS: All players start in the PRO LEAGUE level. Players who are eliminated in 1st round, will move to INTERMEDIATE LEAGUE. Players who are eliminated in 2nd PRO LEAGUE round will move to ADVANCED LEAGUE. After 2nd PRO LEAGUE round, all remaining PRO LEAGUE players will be playing single elimination until the final. Players who are moved to INTERMEDIATE or ADVANCED levels, will be playing single elimination until the final of those competitions.                                         

SENIOR DOUBLES EVENTS: All players start in the SENIOR ADVANCED LEAGUE level. Players who are eliminated in the 1st round will move to SENIOR AMATEUR LEAGUE. Players who are eliminated in 2nd round will move to SENIOR INTERMEDIATE LEAGUE. After 2nd round, all players either in the ADVANCED, in the INTERMEDIATE or in the AMATEUR, will be playing single elimination format until the final of those competitions.

19+ DOUBLES EVENTS   

QUALIFYING GROUP STAGE: All non-open events, will start with a qualifying group stage at the designated level (3.5; 4.5; 5.0). Depending on performance in the group stage, each team will qualify into 2 different league competitions at Elimination Stage:                                        

- The top 2 teams of 5.0 groups will qualify into the PRO League with access to prize money; The bottom 2 teams of 5.0 groups will qualify into the ADVANCED League;                                   

- The top 2 teams of 4.5 groups will qualify into the ADVANCED League; The bottom 2 teams of 4.5 groups will qualify into the INTERMEDIATE League;                                                    

- The top 2 teams of 3.5 groups will qualify into the INTERMEDIATE League; The bottom 2 teams of 3.5 groups will qualify into the SOCIAL League.                                                  

All matches in the Qualifying group stage are just 1 set to 15 points.

LEAGUE ELIMINATION STAGE: All teams will qualify into a specific League. Each League event is a single elimination competition, with matches being best of 3 sets to 11 points. The losers of each semi final will dispute the bronze medal match. All Leagues results will add to the overall European Pickleball League (EPL) Ranking. 

SPECIAL DOUBLE STAGE LISBON EDITION:

In this special double stage, after playing qualifying group stage, players will start EPL elimination bracket. When eliminated from EPL bracket, players will move to PPT elimination bracket, similarly to a double elimination format. The only difference is that, winner of PPT cannot return to main EPL bracket. Once demoted to PPT bracket players cannot return to EPL bracket.

Players will end up with points in the EPL bracket depending on their EPL performance, and points in the PPT bracket depending on their PPT performance. The only players that won't play the PPT bracket are the 4 players that reach the semi finals in the EPL bracket. Those players either will play (after semi final) the EPL Final match or the EPL Bronze Medal Match. They will be awarded PPT points correspondent to their end EPL final position though.

Franklin 40-X

In case of suspension and postponement of the tournament the organisation will refund 90% of the registration to all players. The players who return to the new date will only have to pay 90% of the registration fee of the new replacement tournament.

If player cancels unti 18 of May,for whathever reason, we sill refound you 70% of the registration. After this date we will only refund 50% you if we get a substitution player.

All player by registering in the tournament agree to authorise the publishing of images taken during the tournament.If any player does not agree with this, they must inform the organization by email.

750€ per PRO DOUBLES CATEGORY (1st: 450€; 2nd: 200€; 3rd:100€)

375€ per PRO SINGLES CATEGORY (1st: 225€; 2nd: 100€; 3rd: 50€)

The announced prize money in each category will be disbursed if 100% of 5.0 slots of that category is sold. If the category is not completed, we will disburse the % correspondent to the occupancy rate of that category. Example: Women singles 5.0 occupancy rate is 60%, then the final prize money for that category will be 375€ x 60% = 225€
